We work diligently to keep our units safe and secure. Security features may include alarms, sturdy locks, video surveillance, and fenced-in, well-lit facilities.

We offer four types of storage units in various sizes: Standard Units, Climate Controlled Units, Covered Parking, and Standard Parking. (Availability varies.) The type of storage unit you need will depend on the items you plan to store. For instance:
  • Standard Units are best for heavy, sturdy items that are not climate-sensitive. These items may include large appliances, sports and exercise equipment, tools, etc.
  • Climate Controlled Units are best for valuable items or those susceptible to extreme temperatures and humidity. These items may include antiques, furniture, artwork, electronics, older books, paperwork, etc.
  • Covered Parking is best for vehicles like boats, cars, trailers, motorcycles, etc.
  • Standard Parking is best for vehicles that need to be stored in a secure area, but can withstand the elements.

Choosing a Standard or Climate Controlled Unit depends on the type of items you plan to store, and how accessible you want them to be. Standard Units are the most accessible, and are best for items that are not climate-sensitive. Climate Controlled Units are best for valuable items or those that may be climate-sensitive.

A Climate Controlled Unit has a regulated temperature. This means the unit won’t get very hot or very cold. If you plan to store items that may be damaged by extreme temperatures or humidity, a Climate Controlled Unit is a good choice.

We offer various unit sizes to meet our customers’ needs. When determining what unit size you need, make a list of everything you plan to store, and estimate the number of boxes and/or loose items that will go inside. For reference, see our unit size guide below.
  • A 5×5 storage unit is the size of a small closet.
  • A 5×10 storage unit is the size of a small, walk-in closet.
  • A 5×15 storage unit is the size of large, walk-in closet.
  • A 10×10 storage unit is half the size of a one-car garage.
  • A 10×15 storage unit is the size of a small, one-car garage.
  • A 10×20 storage unit is the size of a standard, one-car garage.
  • A 10×25 storage unit is a bit larger than a standard, one-car garage.

Units and accessibility may vary by location, but generally, you should be able to access your unit 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We work diligently to make things easy on you.

Once you’ve identified the size and type of unit you need, you can get started with the rental process.

First, visit the locations page on our website to find the StayLock location that’s most convenient for you. Do you want it to be near your home, work, or school?

After you’ve found a convenient location, contact us by phone or through our website to reserve a unit. Reservations aren’t required, but they are highly recommended as they will help you make sure the space you need is available when you need it.

When you’re ready to move your belongings into the unit, check in at our office to complete your rental paperwork, and get your unit assignment.

It’s that easy. You’re now ready to move items to your unit, knowing that we work diligently to keep our units safe and secure. Also, our convenient, month-to-month leases mean you can move out when the time’s right.

Most of our storage facilities have hand trolleys that customers can use free of charge. For your convenience, we also sell moving materials, like boxes and tape.

You may bring your own lock or purchase one on-site. All of our locks are sturdy and secure, and work well with the units we offer.

For your convenience, our leases are month-to-month.

Be Safe.

Due to safety concerns, some items simply aren’t suitable for storage. Check with your local office for a list of prohibited items.

Pack Carefully.

Pack your belongings in sturdy boxes or containers that can be easily stacked. Heavy items should go on the bottom and fragile items should be clearly marked.
